How can I make a glossary? Look no further than this top writing tool. Find glossary terms using the glossary maker below.
This tool is designed to help authors (self-published, indie published & traditionally published), and makes glossary creation easy. No Artificial Intelligence (AI) programming has been integrated since I take copyright very seriously. Your work is not stored.
Glossary Generator: using this online glossary maker
- Discover key words and terms in your manuscript.
- Find naming inconsistencies and other errors.
- Upload a .docx file, choose your options and select 'Go'.
- Suggested terms are outputted as a .txt file (if it doesn't pop up, check your downloads folder).
- No copies of your book are saved online. For this reason, ChatGPT and AI-type software is not used.
ACCESS: The lifetime access payment confirmation page will give you a password to unlock the Glossary Generator. Any issues, please get in touch here.
Glossary building can be very laborious. The Glossary Generator is designed to help.
Why did I create the online Glossary Generator?
As a Sci-Fi author, I include glossaries in my books to remind and provide additional information to readers. It can be tough to know where to start. It can also be tough to know when to stop, since building a glossary is a subjective task. Sometimes, I identify additional terms I'd like to include late in the pre-publication process, or even post-publication. I developed this glossary creation software to help me with this.
What does Glossary Generator do?
The Glossary Generator is a helpful writing tool that identifies key terms your glossary may require. Please note, the Glossary Generator does not write the descriptions of the terms for you! You can build your own glossary and compare it to the Glossary Generator's output, or use the Glossary Generator as the starting point for your own. The Glossary Generator is not intended to replace your own efforts (although you may use it to do so), and I still advise you both sense-check the results, and check your manuscript yourself. All in all, glossary generator is an invaluable tool in constructing your own glossary.
I charge a fee.
Originally, I asked for donations, although unfortunately they were nowhere near the level I'd need to spend more time improving the generator. I'm hoping this tiny fee will change that! I'd also like to produce other online tools to help authors. So, if you pay to use the Glossary Generator, thank you!
Does the Glossary Generator use ChatGPT?
No, the Glossary Generator doesn't use ChatGPT or any other AI-type technology. While I may explore this in the future, especially with a view to generating descriptions for the glossary terms found, I would need to ensure that the manuscripts are not copied or used as inputs that are then processed (and therefore potentially plagiarised) in some form.
Please contact me for any queries and feedback.
If you have any issues using this online glossary maker software to create your own glossary, you can email me here. The same goes for feedback - your thoughts on future improvements for the online Glossary Generator are welcome. For example, you may have a personal style of formatting or writing that is incompatible with certain aspects of the Glossary Generator, or would greatly benefit from an additional option to be added.
